While cleaning the data, it is required to split a field to multiple fields. Such field can be of any pattern so user need to provide the field to split and the existing pattern of the field. From the left menu drag Split Data operation to the right and connect it to existing chosen data collection pattern via Preview fields node.
Click on Setting icon of Split Data node to open up setting for the operation. Here user need to choose a field to split and the data pattern currently it exists in the field.
For example, user wants to split username and domain from email field. So user will select email field from the dropdown and provide the pattern of email.
Note: any pattern is recognized by key within Lesser Than (<) and Greater Than (>) symbols
So email field having data [email protected] can have pattern <username>@<domain>. Once the field and pattern is provided. User will see additional fields along with the fields user has selected on input. Those additional fields will be username and domain as shown in the image below.
