SMPP Protocol is the most common way to integrate SMS service provider. Once the credentials are obtained from service provider, user can navigate to 3rd Party Integration menu on the left and click on New Integration.
Since SMS is the service, choose service from Service Type dropdown. Once the option is selected, choose the Send SMS service. Here under Type section choose SMPP option as shown in the image.
SMPP Credentials include the Host, Port, System Type, Username and Password. They are required to connect to SMPP Server for sending SMS. User has to choose the SMPP Version. Currently we support 3 versions: SMPP v3.3, SMPP v3.4 and SMPP v5.0.
Other Optional fields required for the connection are
Enquiry Interval – Essential to check the SMPP session with server
Enquire Timeout – Waiting time for SMPP server to respond to check SMPP session
MAX. Connection – No. of connections required to send SMS
READ/WRITE Timeout – Waiting time period for sms data sending and receiving of response.
Once all credentials are setup, user can make some tests to make sure all credentials are in-place and correct. Click on Test Settings to test the service provider with credentials.
User can change the data as required for testing and decide if the credentials are correct after clicking on Testing Setting. Once confirmed, he can close the setting panel and click on Save Settings
